Ruben Amorim recorded his first win as Manchester United head coach on Thursday as his side defeated Bodo/Glimt 3-2.

Having seen his side draw 1-1 against Ipswich Town in his first game in charge, an Alejandro Garnacho goal and Rasmus Hojlund brace earned the Portuguese the first victory of his tenure despite the Norwegian side leading 2-1 at one stage.

Amorim will be hoping to see his side return to winning ways in the Premier League when they face Everton on Sunday, but in the meantime it appears that one of their fringe players is attracting interest from a huge European club.

As per GiveMeSport, struggling striker Joshua Zirkzee has emerged as a surprise target for Italian giants Juventus.

The Dutchman joined the Red Devils from Serie A side Bologna over the summer, and scored on his debut against Fulham after coming off the bench.

Zirkzee has endured a dismal start to his Manchester United career

Since then, though, the forward has failed to score in 17 matches across all competitions, and he has therefore fallen somewhat out of favour at Old Trafford.

The 23-year-old has started just four Premier League games this term, and is yet to score in the competition.

The report claims that, despite his poor form for United, Juventus have a genuine interest in signing Zirkzee during the upcoming January transfer window.

Zirkzee’s contract with United isn’t set to expire until the end of the 2028/2029 campaign, but the report claims that Juventus could look to sign the Netherlands international in the new year.

The Dutchman previously netted 13 times in 57 games in the Italian top flight during his time with Bologna, and it appears that Juventus remain confident about his abilities with their interest in the player said to be ‘absolutely genuine’.
