Manchester United face a tough test in their opening Champions League match on Wednesday as they travel to Germany to face Bayern Munich.

Erik ten Hag’s side have started the new season poorly, winning just two of their five Premier League matches so far to leave them 13th in the table.

Bundesliga champions Bayern will undoubtedly provide a stern test for the Red Devils, with Harry Kane set to face United for the first time since departing Tottenham Hotspur over the summer.

Ten Hag will be hoping that the likes of Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund can provide an attacking threat in Bavaria, but in the meantime it appears that another of United’s attackers could soon leave the club.

As per Football Insider, winger Jadon Sancho could leave Old Trafford in January having fallen out of favour at the club.

Sancho faces an uncertain future at United after a fall-out with manager Erik ten Hag

The report claims that the 23-year-old could be loaned out during the winter transfer window, following a public spat with Ten Hag.

The Dutchman cited Sancho’s training performances as the reason for leaving him out of the squad for the game against Arsenal a fortnight ago, and the player responded on social media.

United have since announced that Sancho is training alone, and the report claims that he could leave the club in January.

Sancho joined the Manchester outfit from Borussia Dortmund back in 2021 having contributed a combined 114 goals and assists in 137 matches for the German club.

He has struggled to recreate that form in Manchester, though, scoring just 12 goals and providing only six assists in 82 games across all competitions.

The report also claims that Sancho is unlikely to be able to force his way back into Ten Hag’s first team plans after his disciplinary issue, leaving his future in Manchester extremely uncertain.
