Manchester United will be hoping to move a step closer to securing a place in the top four of the Premier League when they face Everton on Saturday.

The Red Devils, who beat Brentford 1-0 on Wednesday, welcome The Toffees to Old Trafford for the early kick-off in the Premier League.

At present, Erik ten Hag’s side sit fourth in the table and also boast a game-in-hand over fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Now, it appears that United have been handed a huge boost in the build up to the match.

As per 90min, midfielder Christian Eriksen is fit enough to return for United and will be back in the matchday squad for the game on Saturday.

The Dane has been absent since the end of January, having been forced off injured during an FA Cup tie against Reading.

Speaking ahead of the game against Wolves, Ten Hag confirmed that the midfielder is back to full fitness.

“The good news is Christian Eriksen is back in training and he will be back tomorrow in the squad,” he confirmed.

Eriksen, 31, joined United as a free agent last summer, and was a regular for Ten Hag prior to his injury.

Eriksen is set to return to the United squad for their game against EVerton on Saturday

The Denmark international has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring two goals and providing nine assists across all competitions.

Previously, Eriksen spent seven years with Tottenham Hotspur, making more than 300 appearances for The Lilywhites before departing in 2020.

He then spent time in Italy with Inter Milan, before returning to England to join Brentford in January 2022.

In total, Eriksen has scored 53 goals and provided 78 assists in 256 Premier League matches for Spurs, Brentford and United.

United will also be boosted by the return of fellow midfielder Casemiro, who will be available once again after serving a suspension for a red card during a 0-0 draw against Southampton last month.
