Manchester United will begin the 2026/27 Premier League season with a trip to face newly-promoted Hull City.

The fixtures for the upcoming campaign were announced on Friday morning, with Championship winners Coventry City visiting Premier League champions Arsenal in the season curtain-raiser.

After their visit to Hull, Man United will host fellow promoted side Ipswich Town, before a visit to Merseyside to play Everton.

With excitement building ahead of the new season, it has now emerged that Man United have identified a prolific striker as one of their top targets for this transfer window.

As reported by CaughtOffside, Manchester United view Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as their ‘dream target’ as they look to bolster their attack.

The Red Devil will have Michael Carrick in charge from the start of next season, with the Englishman having impressed after taking temporary charge earlier this year following Ruben Amorim’s sacking.

Carrick will be keen to add to his squad this summer, and the report suggests that Nigeria international Osimhen has emerged at the top of the club’s list of targets.

Osimhen, 27, joined Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray on loan from Napoli ahead of the 2024/25 season, and made the move permanent last summer.

He has now played 74 times for Galatasaray across all competitions, scoring 59 goals and registering a further 16 assists for the Turkish giants.

The report suggests that those steering United’s recruitment are keen to add another striker to their squad, to compete with Benjamin Sesko for a starting spot in Carrick’s side.

Osimhen is under contract in Istanbul until the end of the 2028/29 season, though, and it is suggested that he could cost a significant amount to lure away from Turkey.
