England face Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, in their penultimate match before the European Championships later this month.

The Three Lions welcome their opponents to Wembley, before facing Iceland at the national stadium four days later.

Manager Gareth Southgate will then reduce his 33-man preliminary squad to 26-man before taking his side to the tournament in Germany, but he will have several difficult decisions to make over the course of the net ten days.

Arguably his biggest decision will be choosing a midfield partner for Declan Rice, with Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo one of those tipped to start England’s opener against Serbia.

Mainoo has enjoyed a remarkable breakthrough season with Manchester United, and has been tipped to play an important role for Southgate’s side this summer.

Mainoo is expected to be part of the England squad for this summer’s Euros

Now, it appears that the youngster is in line for a new contract at club level.

According to Football Insider, United are in talks with Mainoo over an improved new contract after his impressive campaign.

The 19-year-old’s current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2027, but the report claims that United are working to agree fresh terms that will see Mainoo commit his long-term future to the club.

The teenager enjoyed a fine breakthrough season at Old Trafford last term, making 30 appearances across all competitions for Erik ten Hag’s side.

He scored United’s second goal as they defeated rivals Manchester City 2-1 to lift the FA Cup last weekend, taking his tally for the club to five goals.

His impressive displays earned him his England debut against Brazil in March, and he is now set to be part of the Three Lions squad for the Euros this summer.
