England face Serbia at Wembley in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday, safe in the knowledge that they have already booked their place at next summer’s showpiece in the United States.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have so far won all six of their qualifying games – scoring 18 goals and conceding zero – and are therefore among the first sides to secure their place at the tournament.

The ex-Chelsea boss has recalled both Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden to his squad for games against Serbia and Albania, while Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has also been handed his first senior international call-up.

One player that looks set to start in midfield on Thursday is Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, who has been in fine form this season and has started each of England’s last four matches.

Now, though, it appears that the Englishman’s impressive form has earned attention from one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

As per Spanish outlet Fichajes, Manchester United are one of a number of clubs showing interest in the Nottingham Forest midfielder.

The report claims that the Red Devils have identified the Forest star as an ideal candidate to bolster Ruben Amorim’s squad, and the Manchester giants could table an offer worth around £88 million for the player.

Forest, however, value Anderson at more than £100 million, the report suggests, with the player under contract at The City Ground until the end of the 2028/29 season.

Since joining Forest from Newcastle United last year, the 23-year-old has made more than 50 appearances for the club, surpassing the number of senior matches he was involved in for the Magpies.

Anderson has been mightily impressive for Forest, and his fine form was rewarded when he was handed his England debut against Andorra in a World Cup qualifier back in September.
