Manchester United will be hoping to record a fourth successive Premier League victory hen they travel to face Luton Town on Sunday.

The Red Devils beat Aston Villa 2-1 last time out courtesy of Scott McTominay’s late goal, and manager Erik ten Hag will be expecting to see his side continue their good run of form against the relegation-threatened Hatters.

Luton have, however, been close to gaining results against Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool at Kenilworth Road this season, and manager Rob Edwards will hope to see his side provide another stern test for a ‘top six’ side.

In the meantime, it has emerged that United are chasing a Ligue 1 defender.

As per AS via TEAMtalk, the Manchester outfit have shown interest in Lille centre-back Leny Yoro.

The 18-year-old has impressed for the French side this season, making 28 appearances across all competitions.

Yoro’s impressive performances have attracted interest from Manchester United

Having been an unused substitute for their opening day draw against Nice, Yoro has since been involved in all 20 of Lille’s Ligue 1 games so far this term, starting 19 of them.

Having established himself in the first team in 2022, the teenager has already made 44 appearances for his boyhood club and is a regular fixture in their backline.

The report suggests that the player is ‘one of Man United’s priorities’ ahead of the summer transfer window, and also reveals that the Premier League side recently expressed interest in a deal for the youngster.

Despite Yoro’s relative inexperience, the report claims that French side Lille will demand a fee in the region of £78 million to allow the player to depart.

United will also face stiff competition in the race to sign the defender, with Premier League rivals Liverpool also said to be interested, as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
