With the Premier League returning on Saturday after the international break, talk is already turning to the upcoming January transfer window.

Several Premier League clubs will likely want to be busy in the market, with the mid-season window providing the opportunity for sides to bolster their playing squads ahead of the second half of the season.

One club that could be on the hunt for new recruits in January is Manchester United, but it also appears that one of the players on the club’s books could be on the move next year.

According to CaughtOffside, winger Jadon Sancho – currently on loan at Aston Villa – is open to the idea of a move to the Turkish Super Lig.

The report claims that the Englishman held discussions with representatives of three of Turkey’s biggest clubs – namely Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray – during the international break.

It is claimed that the meetings, held in an Istanbul hotel, suggest that Sancho is open to the prospect of a move to Turkey in an attempt to resurrect his stuttering career.

Sancho, 25, joined Manchester United from German side Borussia Dortmund back in 2021 having bene in fine form for his former side, but the winger has since struggled to kickstart a successful career at Old Trafford.

Instead, the England international has spent time on loan at former side Dortmund, as well as Chelsea and, now, Villa.

Since moving to Villa Park, the forward has failed to score or register a single assist for Unai Emery’s side, and it appears increasingly likely that his future may lie overseas.

The report suggests that Sancho’s salary demands will be in the region of £7-8 million-per-year – less than he currently earns at Man United – as he is prioritising clubs’ sporting projects as the most important factor in any decision on his future.
