Manchester United suffered yet another defeat on Sunday as they were beaten 4-3 by Brentford.

The Red Devils had taken the lead through Mason Mount in West London, before a Luke Shaw own goal drew the hosts level.

Kevin Schade then put Thomas Frank’s side in front, before adding his second and Brentford’s third.

The Bees extended their advantage through Yoane Wissa, before Alejandro Garnacho pulled another one back for Ruben Amorim’s side.

Amad Diallo added United’s third deep into added time, but United were unable to find an equaliser and instead slumped to their 16th defeat of the Premier League season so far.

Amorim and those steering United’s recruitment will likely want to overhaul the squad this summer, and it has emerged that the club have already tabled an offer for a Premier League youngster.

According to Fichajes via GiveMeSport, Man United have made a bid of £13 million for 16-year-old Leicester City winger Jake Evans.

Amorim has endured a difficult spell in charge of United

The report claims that both United and Tottenham Hotspur have tabled identical offers for the teenager, who has impressed for the Foxes’ youth sides.

The Englishman – who has represented the Young Lions at Under-16 level – is a product of Leicester’s youth system and has already played 18 times for their Under-21s.

He made his senior debut for the Foxes as a substitute during a 2-2 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion last month, and also featured off the bench during Leicester’s 2-0 victory over Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

Evans, who has scored ten goals in 14 games in the Premier League 2, is capable of playing on either flank or centrally.

It is claimed that Leicester are keen to keep hold of the youngster and build their team around him, however they may face a battle to keep hold of him beyond this summer.
