Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and the club’s board will have several big decisions to make this summer.

It had been expected that the Dutchman would be sacked after guiding the Red Devils to an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League last term, but the former Ajax boss is now set to stay put in his role after lifting the FA Cup at the end of last season.

Several United players face uncertain futures at Old Trafford, but it appears that those in charge of the club have made a big decision on the future of one young star.

As per Football Insider, winger Amad Diallo is set to stay put at Old Trafford and be part of Ten Hag’s squad next season.

The 21-year-old joined United from Italian outfit Atalanta in January 2021, and has since spent time on loan at both Scottish side Rangers and Championship side Sunderland.

Diallo is set to stay at Manchester United and be involved in the first team next season

He has so far struggled to establish himself as a regular for the Red Devils, but the report claims that the Ivory Coast international is set to be part of Ten Hag’s side next term.

In total, Diallo has made 21 appearances for United across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.

Last season, he scored the winner for Ten Hag’s side as they beat fierce rivals Liverpool 4-3 after extra-time in the FA Cup quarter-finals, on the way to winning the competition.

Diallo’s current contract with United runs until next summer, but the club do have the option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.

The report suggests that Diallo will be given the opportunity to earn himself a new deal by impressing for Ten Hag’s side next season.
