Manchester United face Brighton and Hove Albion in their final game of the season on Sunday.

It was announced on Saturday that Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi will leave his role after the match, and United manager Erik ten Hag also continues to face speculation that he will be sacked this summer.

It has been a frustrating season for the Dutchman with his side dumped out of the Champions League at the group stage and currently sat eighth in the Premier League table.

United do still have the chance to lift silverware this season when they face Manchester City in the FA Cup final later this month, but it remains to be seen whether or not Ten Hag will be in charge of the club next term.

In the meantime, it appears that one midfielder will definitely be leaving Old Trafford this summer.

As reported by Football Insider, on-loan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat will return to parent club Fiorentina at the end of the season.

Amrabat is set to leave Manchester United this summer

The Morocco international joined United last summer on a season-long loan deal that did include a £21.4 million option-to-buy clause, but the report claims that United have decided not to activate it.

Amrabat, 27, has made 28 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions so far this season, including 20 Premier League games.

The Moroccan had impressed for his country at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, helping the African side reach the semi-finals of the tournament.

His impressive performances prompted United to pay Fiorentina a fee of £8.5 million to sign the midfielder on loan for the current campaign.

The report claims, however, that United bosses aren’t happy with the player’s performances since his arrival in Manchester and have therefore decided not to pursue a permanent move.
