Manchester United will bid to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup by beating Premier League rivals Fulham on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils emerged 3-2 winners against struggling Ipswich Town on Wednesday night, despite Patrick Dorgu being sent off before half-time.

That result moved Ruben Amorim’s side up to 14th in the Premier League table, however they still face an uphill battle to qualify for European football next term.

Away from the action, those in charge of United’s recruitment are eyeing new recruits this summer, and it appears that they are considering a move for a new goalkeeper.

According to GiveMeSport, the Red Devils have not yet ruled out a summer move for Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa.

The report claims that Amorim is becoming increasingly frustrated with the performances of current first choice ‘keeper Andre Onana, and United are therefore on the hunt for a new ‘keeper.

Costa is on the radar of Manchester United

Costa, 25, has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe over the past few seasons having impressed both for Porto and for Portugal at international level.

Having progressed from the club’s youth academy, Costa has now played 188 times for Porto across all competitions, keeping 79 clean sheets.

The Portuguese has previously admitted his desire to one day play for the Red Devils, and the report claims that United could reignite their long-standing interest in the player when the transfer window reopens this summer.

United are said to be considering a move for Costa having scouted a number of goalkeepers outside of the Premier League of late.

Costa’s contract with his boyhood club is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, however the deal does include a release clause set at £53 million.

The Red Devils could, however, attempt to agree a reduced fee for the player as he will soon enter into the final two years of his current contract.
