Manchester United welcome Everton to Old Trafford in an intriguing Premier League encounter on Monday night.

The Red Devils currently sit seventh in the top flight standings after a recent revival in form, winning three and drawing the other two of their last five games.

Previously, Ruben Amorim’s side had endured a torrid start to the new campaign, and speculation surrounding the Portuguese’s future was rife.

Now, though, the ex-Sporting boss looks to have eased the pressure on him, and he will hope to see his side continue his impressive run of form when they host the Toffees.

In the meantime, it appears that United will have to spend a significant amount to sign one of their transfer targets.

As per Football Insider, Borussia Dortmund will demand a fee of around £60 million for Man United target Karim Adeyemi.

It is claimed that the Germany international’s future at Dortmund is uncertain following a breakdown in discussions about a new contract.

The star’s current deal is set to expire at the end of next season, and talks over a new one have so far failed to progress which has prompted speculation surrounding his future.

Adeyemi, 23, joined Dortmund from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg back in 2022 and has since scored just 29 goals in 121 games for the German side, as well as providing 22 assists.

While United are said to be interested in the German striker, the report suggests that United are unlikely to sign the player during the upcoming January window due to his high price tag.

The report does hint, however, that the striker could be available at a lower price during next summer’s transfer window, when he will enter into the final 12 months of his current contract.
