Manchester United will hope to reach a second successive FA Cup final when they face Coventry City on Sunday.

The Red Devils were beaten 2-1 by fierce rivals Manchester City in last year’s final, and they will be firm favourites to progress past their Championship opponents on Sunday.

Manager Erik ten Hag continues to face speculation surrounding his future, with rumours suggesting that he could be replaced this summer.

Regardless of the Dutchman’s future, it appears that those in charge of United’s recruitment are eyeing a move for a Bundesliga star.

As reported by German outlet BILD via TEAMtalk, the Manchester outfit are preparing a move for Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy.

The Guinea international started the current campaign in sensational form, scoring ten goals in his first five Bundesliga matches, and was heavily linked with a Premier League move in January.

It never materialised, but Guirassy has continued to impress throughout the course of this season.

Guirassy has been in fine form for Stuttgart this season

The 28-year-old has netted seven times in his last six league games, taking his tally for the season to 27 goals in 25 matches across all competitions.

It is claimed that United remain interested in the player, and are likely to move for the player this summer.

The forward has a £15 million release clause in his contract and, although surprisingly no club activated it in January, the report suggests that it is likely to be met when the window reopens this summer.

As well as United, fellow Premier League side West Ham United are also said to be interested in signing the forward this summer.

Current United forward Anthony Martial is expected to depart Old Trafford this summer, and the club could then move for Guirassy.
