Manchester United are reportedly ready to replace Marcos Rojo with Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi in January.

The Red Devils defender is understood to have fallen out with manager Louis van Gaal during the summer, and has started just one Premier League match this term, missing the last four through injury.

Like Rojo, Martins Indi is left-footed and can play as a left-back or a left-sided centre-back, and impressed United scouts during his side’s 2-1 win against Chelsea in the Champions League last week.

The 23-year-old has made 40 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese side since making the move from Feyenoord in 2014, and he also played six times at the 2014 World Cup under Van Gaal as the Netherlands finished third.
