Manchester United are reportedly ready to rival Manchester City and Arsenal in the race to sign young West Ham United star, Reece Oxford, according to The Sun.

The Red Devils sent a scout to watch the 17-year-old in action in the Hammers Under-21 cup final win against Hull City on Wednesday night, and were impressed by the defender’s performance.

The England Under-19 international came to the attention of a number of the top Premier League clubs with a fantastic top flight debut in his side’s 2-0 win away at Arsenal on the opening day of the season, and now the Gunners, and incoming City boss Pep Guardiola, are interested in signing the Irons starlet this summer, with the former ready to start the bidding at £10million.

Oxford, who is the highest paid 17-year-old in West Ham’s history according to the chairman, David Gold, has made 12 appearances in all competitions for Slaven Bilic’s outfit this term.
