Manchester United travel to the south coast to face Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils currently sit eighth in the Premier League table having endured a difficult recent run of form, although they did return to winning ways last time out against Newcastle United.

Manager Erik ten Hag continues to face an uncertain future at Old Trafford, with speculation suggesting that the Dutchman may be replaced as United boss this summer.

One player that also faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford is winger Jadon Sancho, but it appears that United are standing firm on the player’s price tag.

According to The Sun, the Manchester club will demand a significant fee for the Englishman and are not willing to let him leave at a cut-price this summer.

Sancho faces an uncertain future beyond the end of the current season

Sancho, 24, is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund having endured a public fall-out with Ten Hag last year.

The winger was ousted from Ten Hag’s squad for several months, before returning to former club Dortmund on loan in January.

Since making his return to Germany, Sancho has been in impressive form, scoring three times and providing three assists in 20 matches for the German side.

The report claims that, while Sancho could still have a future in Manchester, United are not willing to let him leave cheap and will demand at least 75% of the £73 million that they paid Dortmund to sign Sancho in 2021.

The player himself will also have to take a significant pay cut on his current £275,000-per-week wages.

If Ten Hag is sacked, Sancho may have an easy route back into the first team setup at Old Trafford as the club’s new technical director, Jason Wilcox, worked with the player at former club Manchester City.
