Erik ten Hag lifted the second trophy of his Manchester United tenure as his side beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

The Red Devils were underdogs heading into the final at Wembley, but goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo put Ten Hag’s side in a commanding position at the break.

Jeremy Doku pulled one back for the Premier League champions late on, but Pep Guardiola’s side were unable to find an equaliser.

The trophy is Ten Hag’s second with United, having guided his side to the Carabao Cup last term.

Despite winning silverware, the Dutchman continues to face speculation that he will be sacked this summer.

Now, it appears that one of his players is also on his way out of Old Trafford.

Casemiro is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer

As per Football Insider, the Manchester club expect midfielder Casemiro to sign for a Saudi Arabian club this summer.

The Brazilian joined United from Spanish side Real Madrid two years ago, and has played 83 times for the club since.

Casemiro, 32, has been criticised for some of his performances this season, and missed the FA Cup final due to injury.

The report claims, though, that the Brazil international has almost certainly played his final game for the Red Devils, with those in charge of United expecting him to sign for a Saudi Pro League side during the upcoming transfer window.

Having paid £60 million to sign Casemiro in 2022, United are said to be willing to take a substantial financial loss on the midfielder, in an effort to remove his salary from their wage bill.

After attending United’s celebrations following Saturday’s game, the ex-Real Madrid man then flew back to his native Brazil.

A move to the Middle East is likely to be agreed in the coming weeks, the report claims.
