Manchester United face another tricky task when they travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Sunday.

The Red Devils were knocked out of the Champions League following a 1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, and Erik ten Hag’s side have also been struggling domestically.

A string of narrow wins had kept United’s form positive on paper, but a 3-0 defeat against Bournemouth at Old Trafford last weekend has piled the pressure on the Dutchman.

United travel to Merseyside on Sunday to face a Liverpool side that currently top the Premier League table, after a run of positive results of late.

Ahead of the game, it appears that one of United’s most experienced players is ready to leave next month.

As per 90min, Casemiro is ready to depart Old Trafford when the transfer window reopens in January.

Casemiro is ready to leave Manchester United next month

The 31-year-old joined Man United from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022, ending a trophy-laden stint in the Spanish capital.

When he first arrived in Manchester, the Brazilian was in fine form and played a crucial role in helping Ten Hag’s side to Carabao Cup glory last season.

He has struggled so far this term, though, and has missed United’s last eight league games due to injury.

The midfielder, who cost United around £60 million last year, remains the subject of intense interest from clubs in the Saudi Arabian Pro League, and the player himself is said to be resigned to the fact that his future lies away from Manchester.

In total he has made 63 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists.

His current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2026, but it appears almost certain that he will leave United prior to that date.
