Manchester United meet rivals Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley on Saturday.

The two sides last met in the FA Cup final at the same venue back in May, with the Red Devils running out 2-1 winners on that occasion to book their place in Saturday’s match.

The Citizens will go into the game as favourites, though, after cruising to a fourth consecutive Premier League title last term.

City have been very quiet during the transfer window so far, while United have singed both Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro.

Now, it has emerged that one of the most expensive players in Man United’s history has snubbed the prospect of a move to Saudi Arabia.

As per Football Insider, winger Antony is not interested in a move to the Pro League, despite interest from Al-Nassr.

The Brazilian has endured a tough time since joining United from Dutch side Ajax two years ago.

He has scored just 11 goals and provided only five assists in 82 games across all competitions for the Manchester side.

It is claimed that the Manchester club will consider serious offers for the Brazil international as they look to cash in on fringe players before the end of the window.

The club are said to be aware that they will likely have to take a significant loss on the staggering £82 million that they paid for Antony in 2022.

Antony, who has played 16 times for his country, has three years remaining on his current contract but United will consider offers for him as they look to raise funds and ensure they don’t breach the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

Despite this, the player himself is said to have no interest in a move to the Middle East during the current transfer window.
