Manchester United will hope to return to winning ways when they face Southampton after the international break.

Erik ten Hag’s side have lost two of their opening three games of the new Premier League campaign, most recently being defeated 3-0 by fierce rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman will want to see his side show improvement against the Saints, who have lost all three games so far this season.

In the meantime, it appears that United remain interested in a France international.

As per TEAMtalk, the Manchester outfit are still admirers of midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who is currently without a club.

The Frenchman departed Italian side Juventus when his contract expired at the end of last term, and he has not yet found a new club.

Rabiot remains without a club despite the transfer window having shut in most European countries

The 29-year-old had played more than 210 times for the Old Lady, but he departed Turin over the summer and is currently a free agent.

That means that, despite the transfer window being shut, clubs in England could still look to sign Rabiot.

As well as Man United, Newcastle United are also said to be interested in the France international, who has been capped 48 times by Les Bleus.

It is claimed that Rabiot has been offered a deal by Turkish giants Galatasaray, but both the Red Devils and the Magpies remain hopeful of landing him.

The report also claims that Rabiot’s wage demands have already deterred a number of clubs from signing him, including Italian side AC Milan who had made a move for the midfielder earlier this summer.

Despite interest from Turkey, the player himself is said to be intent on a move to the Premier League.
