Premier League giants Manchester United are on alert after target Antoine Griezmann admitted that he is ready to leave Atletico Madrid, reports L’Equipe (via The Daily Star).

The 26-year-old has been on the most prolific forwards in European football over the last few years, and this season has been no different, as the France international bagged 26 goals in 53 games in all competitions for Diego Simeone’s side.

That adds to the 25 he scored in his first campaign at the Vicente Calderon and the 32 he netted last season, and it’s goal-scoring form that has attracted interest from some of the biggest sides in Europe, most notably Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

And Griezmann, who admitted on Monday that a move to Old Trafford was a ‘six out of ten’ chance, has thrown his future at Atletico into even greater doubt by revealing that he’s ready to leave.

He said: ‘Today if I have to move, it will be no problem.

‘It may be England because it is fashionable, Germany, China and the United States.

‘I’m ready to go.’

This news is sure to excite United fans following months of speculation linking the 26-year-old with a move to Old Trafford, who will be hoping that marquee signings like Griezmann come through the door this summer as Mourinho’s men look to sustain a Premier League title challenge next term.

However, the Red Devils have a more pressing matter in the form of the Europa League final on Wednesday, which could prove critical in their pursuit of Griezmann, as victory would secure them Champions League football for next season.
