Manchester United suffered yet another defeat on Saturday afternoon as they lost 2-0 against West Ham United.

Second half goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus earned the Hammers a memorable victory at The London Stadium, while United have now lost eight of their 18 Premier League games so far this term.

Erik ten Hag will be desperate to see his side return to winning ways when they face high-flying Aston Villa on Boxing Day, but in the meantime the Dutchman may have been handed some good news.

According to 90min, RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is pushing for a move away from the club in January.

The Slovenian is regarded as one of the best young strikers in Europe and has attracted interest from United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Newcastle United.

Despite the hype surrounding Sesko, he has found himself out of favour at Leipzig during the first half of the campaign and is therefore said to be considering a move away from the club next month.

Sesko has endured a frustrating start to life in Germany, despite scoring seven goals in 22 games

Since joining Leipzig from sister club RB Salzburg over the summer, Sesko has scored seven times in 22 games across all competitions.

The majority of his appearances have come as a substitute, though, with Lois Openda’s sensational start to the season ensuring he stays as Leipzig’s first choice striker.

The Belgian has scored 15 goals in 25 games so far, restricting Sesko to just three Bundesliga starts.

United, Arsenal, and Chelsea are said to be long-term admirers of the player, while Newcastle have also shown an interest more recently.

With Slovenia having qualified fo Euro 2024, Sesko will be keen to ensure he plays regularly in the build up to the tournament and intermediaries have previously admitted that he could depart Leipzig in January.
