Manchester United suffered yet another damaging defeat as they lost 2-0 to West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

Second half goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus earned the Hammers a memorable victory at The London Stadium, inflicting an eighth Premier League defeat of the season on the Red Devils.

The result leaves Erik ten Hag’s side eighth in the top flight table, but it appears that they could be set to let one of their youngsters leave next month.

According to Football Insider, United are prepared to let winger Amad Diallo leave on loan when the transfer window reopens at the start of January.

The 21-year-old joined United from Italian side Atalanta back in January 2021, and has since spent time on loan both at Scottish side Celtic and Championship club Sunderland.

Diallo previously spent time on loan at Championship club Sunderland

In total the winger has made nine appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions, scoring once and providing one assist.

The four-time Ivory Coast international scored 14 goals during his time at The Stadium of Light, making a total of 42 appearances across all competitions.

He hasn’t made a single appearance so far this season, though, and could now be loaned out with Championship side Southampton having shown an interest in the player.

The report claims that United still value Diallo as a player that could feature for the first team, but it is currently unlikely that he will do so any time soon and they are therefore willing to allow him to depart on loan.

The Saints have impressed so far this season and currently sit fourth in the second tier.

Other Championship clubs, as well as teams from across Europe, are also said to be interested in the attacker.
