New Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will be working hard during the international break ahead of his first game in charge of the Red Devils.

United travel to East Anglia to face Ipswich Town when domestic football returns, and Amorim will be desperate to get his tenure at the club off to a positive start.

The 39-year-old has left his role at Sporting CP to take charge at Old Trafford, ending a hugely successful spell in the Portuguese capital.

Amorim takes over a United side that have endured their worst ever start to a Premier League season, and he is likely to want to make changes to his squad when given the opportunity.

With that in mind, it appears that one of United’s most experienced players will be made available for sale.

As per GiveMeSport,  United are set to listen to offers for midfielder Christian Eriksen during the upcoming January transfer window.

Eriksen could depart Old Trafford in January

The Danish midfielder has been with United since the summer of 2022 and has played 85 times for the club, scoring seven times and providing 16 assists.

Despite making 13 appearances already this season and registering a combined seven goals and assists, the report claims that Eriksen is one of the players that United will put up for sale in the new year.

The Dane is in the final year of his contract with United, which means he could sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign club in January.

If United do not sell the Denmark international in January, Eriksen is likely to leave the club as a free agent at the end of the current campaign.

While Amorim is prepared to let the midfielder leave midway through the season, the report does also suggest that the 32-year-old could still stay put at Old Trafford and be part of the Portuguese’s squad until the end of the campaign.
