Man Utd bidding to beat Arsenal and Tottenham to £6.1m signing of Argentina forward

Manchester United are reportedly in talks to complete a £6.1 January deal for Argentina international Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to Emanuele Giulianelli (Tribal Football).

The Premier League giants, who defeated Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield on Sunday, had club officials in Paris on Friday to try and thrash out a deal for the Paris Saint-Germain forward.

The 30-year-old, who had 48 international caps for his country, has scored just twice in 22 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 champions this season.

Lavezzi, who is also thought to be attracting interest from Arsenal and Tottenham, is reportedly available for around £6.1m this month under PSG boss Laurent Blanc.
