It’s been a progressive season for Manchester United and if they win the Europa League it would even be viewed as a successful one taking into consideration how dominant neighbours Man City have been.

But even with the final against Villarreal to come, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his management team will also have an eye on planning for the next campaign.

Despite the impressive form of Luke Shaw and reliable cover being provided by Alex Telles, reports are circulating that United could make an offer for a left sided player they’ve been linked with in the past.

Luke Shaw has been outstanding for United this season.

According to Tutto Juve, Alex Sandro is being made available for transfer by Juventus at a price of just £17.4million, and that the Premier League side might take up the opportunity.

Juventus lost out on the Serie A title for the first time since the 2010/11 season after Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan sealed the Scudetto, and it seems they are now planning to offload Sandro, who has five league winner’s medals, as part of a rebuilding process.

With Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain also claimed to be interested in the Brazilian, it seems unlikely that United would bring in a 30-year-old in a position where they are already fully stocked.

But the appeal of signing someone with great experience and, importantly, the habit of winning trophies could be an opportunity Solskjaer may not want to miss.

So what would you do if you were the United boss? Where would your transfer priorities be?
