Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has reportedly emerged as a shock target for two Turkish clubs.
The Belgium international, who arrived at Old Trafford from Everton back in 2013 in a deal worth £27.5m, has mounted interest from Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
The 27-year-old, who has 63 international caps, scored seven goals in 31 appearances in all competitions for Louis van Gaal’s side last season.
However; following the summer arrivals of fellow midfielders Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, it is thought that Fellaini has been knocked down boss Van Gaal’s pecking order.
The Belgian is in fact suspended until August 30, but Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce may well take advantage of the midfielder’s situation a lot sooner.
This summer’s transfer window has already seen Fellaini’s former teammates Robin van Persie and Nani swap the Premier League for the Super Lig after the duo joined Fenerbahce respectively.
