Manchester United are reportedly closely monitoring Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace on Saturday, have been alerted to Algeria international’s services following his sensational form since the beginning of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 24-year-old, who arrived at the King Power Stadium from Le Havre last January, has already scored seven league goals in just ten appearances to become the Premier League’s joint-second highest goalscorer so far this season behind teammate Jamie Vardy.

Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is thought to be scouting Mahrez very closely ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window, especially with United having gone without scoring a goal in over five hours of play after their goalless stalemate at Selhurst Park at the weekend.
