Man Utd target Premier League bargain

Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a move for Newcastle United star Ayoze Perez.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who face arch-rivals Manchester City this Sunday, are thought to be interested in the Spaniard’s services ahead of the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who joined the Magpies from Tenerife only last summer for just £1.5m, has scored two goals in nine appearances in all competitions for Steve McClaren’s side this season.

Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is reportedly on the lookout for another forward during the New Year, despite the summer additions of Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial.

After scoring seven Premier League goals last term for Newcastle; Perez is now thought to be on United’s wish list alongside England and Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
