Manchester United are still reportedly keen on a mega money move for England striker Harry Kane.
The 13-time Premier League champions, who drew 1-1 with CSKA Moscow in the Champions League last night, were linked with a £50m bid for the Tottenham talisman during the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old, who already has six international caps to his name, scored 31 goals in all competitions last season for Spurs, with Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero (26) the only player to score more Premier League goals than him last season.
However Kane, who came through White Hart Lane’s youth academy, has found the back of the net just once for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in 12 games in all competitions this term.
It is understood that United manager Louis van Gaal wants to leave behind a legacy of young stars at Old Trafford when he reportedly leaves in 2017, a process which he began in the summer with the marquee signings of Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial.
