Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is plotting a mammoth summer swoop for Tottenham star, Dele Alli, according to an exclusive from the Express.

The report claims that the Catalan manager, who took the helm at The Etihad over last summer, is happy to surpass the £89m world record fee that fierce rivals Jose Mourinho and Manchester United splashed out to bring midfielder Paul Pogba back to the club from Juventus.

However, the former MK Dons midfielder, who has just been named as the Premier League Player of the Month for January off the back of performances such as his brace against Chelsea, will not come easily considering European heavyweights Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are both, reportedly, interested.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager is understood to be keen to continue his overhaul of the Sky Blues squad and bring the age down with additions such as Alli.

The England international has been in scintillating form so far this season, bagging 13 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.
