Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has already got his busy summer of business underway with the additions of goalkeeper Ederson and Ligue 1 champions Bernado Silva already sorted.

Despite having landed two key deals the former Barcelona boss still has targets to land, and is eyeing a very high profile reunion at The Etihad.

According to reports from the Daily Star, the Sky Blues are willing to pull out all the stops in order to land a deal for former Guardiola pupil Alexis Sanchez.

The Arsenal star is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal at The Emirates, with a year remaining on his current contract, and could well be on his way this summer.

As per the Star’s report, the powers that be in Manchester are ready to make the Chilean international their highest paid player on £275k-a-week.

Given that the 28-year-old, who made 41 appearances under Guardiola for the Catalan giants, has just the one-year remaining in north London, City are confident that an offer of £50m will be enough to finalise a move.
