Manchester City are reportedly weighing up a move for Germany international Joshua Kimmich this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who finished fourth in the English top-flight standings respectively last term, have been recently linked with the highly-rated FC Bayern Munich defensive midfielder ahead of the start of the upcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The 21-year-old, who has five international caps for his country and starred for Germany at this summer’s EURO 2016 Championships in France as Joachim Low’s men reached the semi-final stage, provided two assists in 36 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga champions last season.

Kimmich, who can also operate at full-back, is wanted by new Citizens boss Pep Guardiola after arriving at the Etihad Stadium last month from the Allianz Arena.

The report suggests that a bid of £20m could start negotiations over a potential deal for the German starlet, although Bayern are likely to demand more following his impressive displays since his £6m switch from RB Leipzig back in January 2015.
