Manchester City have reportedly emerged as favourites to land Italy international starlet Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who defeated Leicester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday to stay within the top-flight’s top four places, have been linked with the highly-rated AC Milan goalkeeper ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

The 18-year-old, who has three international caps for his country, has kept 11 clean sheets in 39 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit so far this season.

However Donnarumma, who has just over one year remaining on his current deal at the San Siro, is also said to be attracting interest from arch rivals Manchester United.

But the report suggests Citizens boss Pep Guardiola is in pole position to land the Italian this summer, with City willing to make a whopping £30m bid for the teenager.

Claudio Bravo has been unconvincing following his transfer from FC Barcelona last year, whilst Torino loanee Joe Hart is set to be sold and Willy Caballero is out of contract next month at the Etihad.
