Manchester City have reportedly identified Spain international striker Alvaro Morata as a summer transfer target, according to the Daily Star.
The Premier League giants, who comfortably defeated defending league champions Chelsea 3-0 on Saturday evening, are ready to make a move for the Juventus forward once the current 2015-16 campaign has concluded.
The 23-year-old, who has eight international caps for his country and is tipped to be included in Spain’s squad to travel to Euro 2016 later this year in France, has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit.
Morata; who is being weighed up as a potential replacement for fellow striker Wilfried Bony this summer, has impressed incoming boss Pep Guardiola, who will replace Manuel Pellegrini as City manager come the end of June .
However the report suggests that any potential deal could be complicated, with Real Madrid set to ignite a £20m buy-back clause this summer, with the La Liga giants valuing the striker at around the £30m mark.
