Manchester City reportedly face stiff competition in their pursuit of Denmark international starlet Kasper Dolberg, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Premier League side, who currently sit third in the English top-flight standings following their latest 2-1 victory at newly promoted Burnley on Saturday, have been linked with a move for the highly-rated Ajax forward ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

The 19-year-old, who made his international debut against Kazakhstan last month in Denmark’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification fixture, has impressively scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 22 appearances in all competitions for the Eredivisie giants.

Dolberg, who came through Ajax’s youth ranks, is attracting interest from Citizens manager Pep Guardiola following his great goalscoring exploits so far this term.

However, the report suggests that Serie A outfits Juventus and Napoli are also interested in the Dane’s services.

Man City next face Premier League leaders Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
