Manchester City are reportedly in talks to sign Gabon superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to France Football (via Football Insider).

The Premier League side, who finished the 2015/16 season in fourth place and therefore qualify for next term’s Champions League campaign after pipping arch-rivals Manchester United on goal difference to the honour, have joined the growing list of potential suitors for Borussia Dortmund’s star striker this summer.

The 26-year-old, who has 47 international caps for his country, scored a sensational 39 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit this season.

Aubameyang, who is the reigning African Player of the Year, has been identified as a summer transfer target by incoming boss Pep Guardiola once he arrives at the Etihad Stadium next month from FC Bayern Munich.

The Gabon ace has also been strongly linked with moves to Premier League rivals Arsenal and La Liga giants Real Madrid in the near past.
