Manchester City are said to have already enquired about Liverpool target Leandro Paredes, according to Gianlucadimarzio.com.

The Premier League giants; who currently sit fourth in the standings, six points adrift of surprise league leaders Leicester City following their 3-1 defeat to the Foxes at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, are interested in signing the highly-rated AS Roma midfielder this summer.

The 21-year-old, who is a former Argentina Under-17 international, has scored two goals and provided one assist in 20 league appearances whilst on loan at Serie A rivals Empoli so far this season.

Paredes, who started his career in his homeland with Boca Juniors, has alerted the likes of Premier League duo Man City and Liverpool through his impressive displays in the Italian top-flight this term.

However the reports suggests that Roma manager Luciano Spalletti is now prepared to give the young attacking midfielder a first-team run in his squad for the forthcoming 2016-17 campaign following his fruitful loan spell, which could falter both clubs’ pursuit.
