Manchester City monitor Benfica hotshot

Manchester City have reportedly emerged as the favourites to sign Benfica ace Victor Andrade.

The Premier League giants, who thrashed Newcastle United 6-1 on Saturday thanks to a five-goal haul from star striker Sergio Aguero, are plotting a January move for the highly-rated right winger.

The 20-year-old, who has played five times for Brazil’s Under-20 squad, has only made three first-team appearances for the Portuguese outfit, but has impressed immensely in the club’s ‘B’ team.

Andrade, who is the godson of former City forward Robinho, is valued at around £25m by Benfica.
