Manchester City must snap up these 2 Bundesliga stars in January

Manchester City’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday was their second victory in their last three Premier League games, and it keeps them within touching distance at the top of the division.

A Yaya Toure brace on his first league start of the season secured a much-needed three points for Pep Guardiola’s men, who trail leaders Chelsea by just a point after 12 games of the campaign.

City have won eight of their first 12 matches, with their only defeat of the campaign thus far coming at Tottenham, where they produced a lacklustre display in a 2-0 defeat at White Hart Lane back in September.

Their Champions League campaign has also been solid, although it didn’t look good for Guardiola’s side when they lost 4-0 at Barcelona in their third match, as it left them with just four points.

Nonetheless, they recovered and sensationally beat Luis Enrique’s side 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium last month, and know a victory at Borussia Monchengladbach tomorrow night will secure their place in the last 16.

However, a few indifferent performances have called into question whether City can sustain a title challenge this season, with many believing that City need reinforcements to be in touch come May.
