Manchester City are reportedly preparing a club-record £75m raid for Spain international star Isco, according to The Sun.

The Premier League champions-elect, who currently sit 16 points clear of rivals and runners-up Manchester United at the top of the English top-flight table, have been linked with a mega money move for the Real Madrid midfielder this summer.

The 25-year-old, who has 27 international caps for his country, has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 40 appearances in all competitions for the defending La Liga champions so far this season.

Isco, who arrived at the Bernabeu back in June 2013 following his arrival from fellow Spanish side Malaga, has netted 40 goals in 231 games overall for Madrid.

Spain’s Isco celebrates scoring against Argentina.

The attacking midfielder scored a hat-trick for Spain during his country’s 6-1 thrashing of Argentina in an international friendly on Tuesday night, and has now been linked with a summer switch to the Etihad Stadium.

The report claims City boss Pep Guardiola is determined to lure the Spaniard to Manchester once the 2017-18 campaign comes to a close, with the midfielder understood to be ready to quit Los Blancos after five years at the club.

The Sun adds the ex-Malaga man earns around £140,000-a-week in the Spanish capital, and would earn a pay rise with City should he agree to a transfer.
