Manchester City are reportedly close to sealing the signing of Brazil international defender Danilo, according to Sky Sports.

The Premier League side, who have already landed Bernardo Silva (AS Monaco), Ederson (Benfica), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur) and Douglas Luiz (Vasco De Gama), are expected to make the Real Madrid full-back their fifth summer signing.

The 26-year-old, who has 15 international caps for his country, scored one goal and provided three assists in 25 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners last season.

Danilo, who is set to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed move in the United States shortly, only arrived at the Bernabeu back in July 2015 following his move from Portuguese outfit FC Porto.

The report suggests the Brazilian right-back will set The Citizens back around £26.9m, despite already signing England international Walker from Premier League rivals Spurs in the same position.
