Name: Joe Hart
Joe Hart: Number one in terms of goalkeeping choice at the Etihad Stadium, but also Manchester City’s best British star ahead of Wednesday night’s 2016 BRIT Awards.
The 28-year-old, who has 57 international caps for England and is heavily tipped to star for Roy Hodgson’s Three Lions at the 2016 UEFA European Championships this summer in France, has made 24 league appearances for the Citizens so far this season.
Hart, who joined the Citizens from League One side Shrewsbury Town back in 2006 for a reported initial fee of £600,000, has kept 11 clean sheets for City in the Premier League this term, a feat only surpassed by Arsenal shot stopper Petr Cech (12).
The 6ft 5in ‘keeper has conceded 31 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions for Manuel Pellegrini’s side this campaign, who currently sit six points adrift of surprise league leaders Leicester City in fourth spot after their most recent defeat to Tottenham (1-2).
However the Head and Shoulders TV star will be hoping City can overturn that six-point deficit with just 12 league fixtures remaining of the 2015-16 campaign before packing his bags for Euro 2016 come June.
