Manchester City have added Jack Butland to their goalkeeping hit list.

According to a report in the Manchester Evening News the fit against Stoke City keeper could be on his way to the Etihad where Pep Guardiola has been haunted by goalkeeping problems this season.

Guardiola ditched Joe Hart at the start of the season but hasn’t been impressed by Claudio Bravo or Willy Caballerro.

Butland has made just two first team appearances after a year out injured which saw him miss out in going to the European Championships in France.

The 24-year-old has long been tipped to takeover from Hart as the England keeper and could taker a massive step towards achieving that goal with a move to Manchester City.

City would need to come in with an offer in the region of £30m to sign Butland who is under contract until 2021 after joining from Birmingham for £4m in 2013.
