Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola is considering spending £80million on Ben Chilwell of Leicester City and Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Crystal Palace, according to The Sun.

With Benjamin Mendy having suffered with injuries since his move in the summer of 2017,  the Spanish boss is reportedly looking to sure up the full-back position with the two English youngsters.

After suffering a disappointing defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday, the reigning league champions bounced back with victory over Arsenal and are currently two points off leaders, Liverpool, who play West Ham on Monday.

Chilwell recently signed a new contract with Leicester and it’s claimed that they would demand more than the £50million for City to take him away from the King Power.

Chilwell is establishing himself as England’s first-choice left-back.

The England international has impressed for the Foxes this season, helping them to claim the best defensive record outside the top-six, having conceded only 31 goals.

Gareth Southgate gave him his senior Three Lions debut in a friendly against Switzerland in November, and the 22-year-old has gone on to make four more appearances for World Cup semi-finalists.

Elsewhere, Wan-Bissaka has become an integral part of Crystal Palace’s defence, starting all but one of the Eagles’ league games this season, which he missed due to suspension.

However, the London club know their man’s potential and are thought to want at least £30million for the 21-year-old.
