Manchester City’s dream spine come February

Ederson

Man City could really do with searching for another goalkeeper, as it appears that current number one Claudio Bravo just isn’t up to the job.

The Chilean international joined from Barcelona in the summer as Guardiola wanted a keeper who was good with his feet, yet it’s the 33-year-old’s shot-stopping which is seriously hampering City.

Bravo hasn’t made the saves needed to bail City out on occasion and, with a backline as vulnerable as theirs, you need a top-class goalkeeper.

Thus, Guardiola could turn his attentions to another keeper, and one he’s reportedly been linked with is Benfica’s talented youngster Ederson.

The 23-year-old has started 13 of their 18 league games this term, and kept nine clean sheets in his spell between the sticks.

City were loosely linked with the Brazilian last summer but no deal materialised, yet it seems that Guardiola is reigniting his interest in the young stopper, and could be set to move for him before the window shuts next week.
