Manchester City are reportedly keen on snapping up 13-year-old sensation Karamoko Dembele, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who currently sit one point clear at the top of the standings, despite losing 2-0 to Tottenham last time out, have been linked with a future move for the highly-rated Celtic midfielder.

The youngster stole the headlines last week after appearing for the Scottish Premiership champions’ Under-20 side, competing well above his age range.

It is understood that the Citizens have been monitoring the talented teenager’s ability for the past few months, but after making a remarkable debut for the Hoops’ Under-20 side, they are ready to pounce and try and recruit Dembele to their youth academy.

The report also adds that Celtic may have played Dembele in the Under-20 fixture to help their case in court if another club tried to sign him in the near future.

Hence, they can site this appearance as evidence to prove they were the ones who developed him in any potential battle over compensation.
