Full-backs are a clear area of concern for Guardiola, yet Bacary Sagna is probably the best of the lot, and will likely keep his place for the rest of the campaign.

The Frenchman missed a chunk of the season with injury, but started off back in August as an ideal right-back for Guardiola, given how well he played in the manager’s system, most notably in the middle of the park.

However, at the age of 33, Sagna’s best years are behind him, and you sense that if Guardiola has his way, he’d try and focus on the long-term and bring someone in at his expense.

Nonetheless, with more pressing concerns, the City boss may keep faith with Sagna for the rest of the season before his contract expires in the summer.
