Name: Sergio Aguero
Boy oh boy how Manchester City missed their Argentinian talisman! Sergio Aguero, who has finished as the club’s top goalscorer in all competitions since arriving at the club, will play a huge hand in this season’s Premier League title race after a fruitful January for the star striker.
The 27-year-old, who joined City from Atletico Madrid for a reported £38m back in July 2011, boosted his league goalscoring tally to a sensational 12 strikes in just 16 outings this term by finding the back of the net five times in four games this month.
Aguero; who netted FIVE against Newcastle United back in October 2015, scored a late winner at Watford (1-2), before netting a brace against Crystal Palace (4-0) almost a fortnight ago.
Then last Saturday; the Argentina ace single-handedly earn Manuel Pellegrini’s side a precious point at West Ham United (2-2) by scoring both goals to help the Citizens move level on points with third-placed Arsenal and only three points behind surprise league leaders Leicester City at the summit.
Having battled hamstring, heel and knee injuries this campaign; Aguero finally looks fully fit and raring to go as he bids to fire City towards their third Premier League title in five seasons come May.
